About
Founder of Dutch American Strength
Justin Langhout
Born in the Netherlands and raised in the United States, I’ve dedicated my entire life to one mission: helping others become the strongest version of themselves — in body, mind, and spirit.
My journey began overseas, where I lived until I was six before my family moved to Pittsburgh, and eventually to sunny Florida in 1996 — a place I’ve proudly called home ever since. After graduating high school in 2008, I served in the U.S. Army. The discipline, resilience, and leadership learned through military life became the foundation of everything I do today.
The Strength Journey
I’ve been a personal trainer since 2009, helping hundreds of individuals redefine what’s possible for their bodies and their confidence. Fitness has always been more than a job — it’s my calling. My background in the medical field gave me a unique perspective on performance, recovery, and injury prevention, blending science with grit to build smarter, stronger athletes.
Since discovering my passion for Strongman back in 2006, I’ve lived and breathed strength sports. I began competing in 2019 and have since gone on to compete nationally and internationally, earning multiple podium finishes along the way. Over time, my home gym has grown to house more Strongman equipment than most gyms in the entire state of Florida — because this isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle.
Coaching, Promoting, and Building Community
For the past four years, I’ve specialized in Strongman coaching, training both everyday lifters and elite competitors to push past their limits. I’ve hosted weekly Strongman Saturday classes, coached out of Clearwater Beach Fitness and UFC Gym Largo, and I’m always willing to travel or train clients remotely to ensure no one is left behind in their pursuit of strength.
Beyond coaching, I’ve become one of Florida’s most active Strongman promoters, organizing and promoting nine major competitions — including flagship events like the Clearwater Classic and the Florida Strength Games. My mission has always been to grow the sport, create opportunities, and build a community where lifters of all backgrounds can thrive.
Life, Family, and Purpose
I’m a proud father of four beautiful daughters and have been happily married to my wife Rachel since 2017. My family is my greatest motivation — they are the “why” behind every rep, every event, and every milestone.
Through Dutch American Strength, I combine my military discipline, medical knowledge, and Strongman passion to empower others — not just to get stronger physically, but to become mentally unbreakable.
My Philosophy
Strength isn’t just measured in pounds lifted or records broken — it’s about character, consistency, and courage. Whether you’re an athlete chasing a podium, a parent reclaiming your health, or someone looking to rediscover your inner drive, I’ll help you unlock that strength within you.
This isn’t just training.
This is Dutch American Strength — where resilience is built, and legends are made.
